NICHES Paddling Trip
Paddle the Wabash River from Davis Ferry Park to Tapawingo Park! Experience the Wabash River first hand by taking a relaxing trip down the river. Our float trip welcomes paddlers of all skill levels, whether you have your own boat or need one provided. Though our staff will monitor the river for safety, please note that they won’t be joining you in the rafts.
All participants are required to wear life jackets throughout the trip. Those using provided boats must be at least 10 years old, and individuals under 18 need an accompanying adult.

Shuttle and Boat Registration
The float trips coincide with our Wabash Riverfest celebration. Shuttles depart from Tapawingo Park, transporting you to Davis Ferry Park for boat entry. When registering, you’ll select a shuttle time and boat, as well as provide your group size. If your group doesn’t fill a raft, the remaining spots will be open for others, offering a chance to make new friends and enjoy the river together. Each group member must sign a participation waiver, and all attendees must wear life jackets, participating at their own risk.
Trip Duration and Scheduling
The river journey lasts approximately 2-3 hours, depending on your paddling speed. Leisurely groups should opt for earlier time slots, as all boats must return to Tapawingo Park by 3:30 pm.
