Saturday, July 8, 2017 – 8:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Dress like a pirate and paddle the Wabash River from Davis Ferry Park to Tapawingo Park with experienced pirates (river guides)!  Experience the wonders of the Wabash River from the water.  This float trip is open to both beginner and experienced paddlers, with and without boats.  Enjoy a relaxing trip down the river.  The float trip will bring you into Tapawingo Park by approximately 11:30 am, where you and your family can enjoy the rest of the day at Wabash Riverfest!

Choose an option:

Option 1 – Use boats provided by NICHES Land Trust and Wildcat Canoe and Kayak Too. Meet at the Purdue University Crew Boathouse, located at 500 Brown St, West Lafayette, IN 47906, at 8:00 am. We’ll transport you to Davis Ferry Park where the boat tour will launch at 9:00 am. We’ll provide a canoe or kayak, life jackets, and paddles.

Option 2 – Bring your own canoe or kayak. Drop off your boat at the Davis Ferry Park boat ramp, located on N Ninth Street Road at the Wabash River, by 8:00 am. Our volunteers will watch it while you park your car at the Tapawingo Park takeout, and then ride our transportation back to Davis Ferry Park. We’ll provide details when you arrive.  Please bring your own paddles and life jackets (required).
