About Riverfest

The Wabash Riverfest is an annual celebration of the rich history of the mighty Wabash River. The communities in the Greater Lafayette area were originally established to support trade along the River and thrived during the mid-1800′s because of the river traffic.

This free family fun event began in in 2001 and promotes fun on and around the Wabash River and features food, canoe races and music with plenty of fun activities for children.

A special feature is the presence of various environmental groups with displays and information on responsible use of the river and other natural resources.
