About the Wabash River
The Wabash River has a long history to go along with it being the longest free flowing river east of the Mississippi. The River travels more than 450 miles from the dam in Huntington to where it joins the Ohio River where Indiana, Illinois, and Kentucky come together.
You will find links there to several other groups involved in conservation and improvement
of both the Wabash itself and the river corridor. Some of these groups include:
- Sycamore Audubon Society
- Tippecanoe Soil and Water Conservation District
- Tippecanoe Partnership for Water Quality
- Indiana Wildlife Federation
- Wabash River Heritage Corridor Commission
- Go Greener Riverkeepers
We want to acknowledge and thank all these groups and encourage you to become involved
in some way.
